Planning poker with Slack and Microsoft Teams
Run the session in PointHuddle and keep everyone else in the loop: each accepted estimate is posted to your team’s channel, with a summary when the queue is done.
Start a roomWhat gets posted
- Each estimate: the story (linked to your issue tracker if you set a link template), the final estimate, the votes, the decision note and the time spent.
- The session summary: every story with its estimate, the total points and the pace.
- You choose which of the two to send.
Set it up in a minute
- In Slack, create an incoming webhook for your channel. In Microsoft Teams, create a Workflows webhook (or an incoming webhook connector).
- In your PointHuddle room, open Room settings → Notifications and paste the URL.
- PointHuddle sends a test message first and only saves the URL if the channel accepts it.
Safe by design
- The webhook URL is stored encrypted and never shown again, only a masked version.
- Posts only go to Slack and Microsoft webhook addresses.
- No bot to install and no access to your workspace: PointHuddle can post to that one channel and nothing else.
