Planning poker for remote teams
On a video call, physical cards don’t work and numbers typed into the chat influence everyone who hasn’t answered yet. PointHuddle gives your team one shared table in the browser.
Start a room, freeHow it works
- Create a room and paste the link (or show the QR code) in your call. People join with just a name.
- Everyone votes in private. The table shows who is still deciding, never what they picked.
- Reveal together. Cards flip at once and the table shows how far apart you are and who should explain first.
- Accept and move on. The next story can start automatically.
Built for distributed teams
Nothing to install
Any browser, on a laptop, tablet or phone. No accounts, no plugins.
Signals that cut through a busy screen
When a vote is waiting, the browser tab title and icon change, with an optional chime. The host can nudge anyone still deciding.
Fair for quieter voices
Hidden votes, optional anonymous reveal and a confidence vote give everyone a say, not just whoever speaks first.
Works across tools
Import stories from Jira or CSV, link issue keys, export the results, and post estimates to Slack or Microsoft Teams.
Private when needed
Protect a room with a password, and choose how long it is kept: 7, 30 or 90 days.
Big calls
Up to 50 people per room, with observers who can watch without voting.
Tips for remote estimation
- Keep cameras on during the discussion and off the cards: the app handles the cards.
- Use a short timer so a long call doesn’t drift.
- Let the lowest and highest voters speak first. See when estimates disagree.
