PointHuddle for Jira

A Jira Cloud app that adds Estimate in PointHuddle to the issue view. Open a planning poker room with the issue in it, or add the issue to a room you already started, and write the agreed estimate back to the issue.

How it works

1. On an issue, open the Estimate in PointHuddle panel.
2. Choose Create room, or enter the code of a room your Jira site created earlier to add the issue to it.
3. Open the room as the host with the one-time link and share the room link with your team. Issue keys link back to Jira.
4. Once the story is estimated, the panel shows the result and offers to write it to the issue’s story points.

What is sent to PointHuddle

• For the issues you choose: the issue key, its summary and its link.
• Your Jira site address, its cloud id and the app’s installation id, so a room can only be changed from the site that created it.

Your Atlassian account id isn’t stored, and PointHuddle never calls Jira. Writing story points happens inside Jira, as you. The app is not “Runs on Atlassian”: the data above leaves Atlassian’s cloud for pointhuddle.com, which is hosted on a single server run by PointHuddle.

Uninstalling

Uninstalling the app deletes the installation and the links between issues and rooms. Rooms follow the usual retention: 7, 30 or 90 days after the last activity.
